Claremont Hospital are currently looking for a Chef to join their team working on an as and need basis in the Catering department.

We have a great onsite restaurant and are now looking for a chef to join our bank register to provide weekend cover.

As a Chef at Claremont Hospital you will ensure that food is received, recorded, stored, prepared, cooked and presented to a high standard in accordance with Claremont code of practice/hazard analysis and also keeping in line with Food Hygiene, Health and Safety and C.O.S.H.H.

Some of the key responsibilities of this role will be:

  • Acting as FOH staff serving customers

  • Contributing to cooking of patient and customer meals

  • Checking and recording temperatures of fridge freezer and food trolley and what action to take if incorrect temperature

  • Recording of temperatures of all raw, high risk and cooked foods

  • Maintaining high standard of food, portion control and special dietary needs and action where applicable if standards are not met

  • Visiting wards to serve and garnish patients food prior to Food Service Assistant presenting the food to patients

 

The successful applicant will have to undergo a DBS check.
