We have an excellent opportunity for a Chef de Partie to join our Hotel Services team, at Parkside Hospital, Wimbledon, in the preparation and design of all menus, food, beverages and related services to a very high standard to ensure satisfaction is achieved for all identified customers.
• Food Production:
Produce meals using fresh and convenience foods, to order and bulk production, in accordance with menu cycles and standards of production.
Ensure stock levels are managed and ingredient quality is maintained.
Participate in a shift roster
• Supervision of Commis chefs and kitchen porters:
Ensure roster times are adhered to
Allocate work fairly
Monitor standards of work
Mentor and assist in the professional development of Commis.
Provide feedback on performance to Head and Sous Chefs.
• General Tasks:
To maintain a high standard of personal and operational hygiene.
To carry out any other special duties or work outside the normal daily routine but within the overall scope of the position.
To report and where possible take action regarding any incidents of accident, fire, loss, theft, damaged / unfit food or other occurrences.
To attend meetings and training courses as may be necessary from time to time
NVQ L2 Food Hygiene
NVQ L 2 in Professional Cookery
Worked at Commis Chef within a hospital kitchen environment
Worked at or Junior Chef de Partie level or Chef de Partie level in a food service industry
