In September 2014 I was offered a Business and Administration Apprenticeship at The Edinburgh Clinic. This was an exciting prospect for me as I was keen to start learning whilst I work. To be offered a role in the marketing department was fantastic as my main interest in business was marketing.
During my time at The Edinburgh Clinic I have learned various things such as how to complete a mailing, assisting in coordination of events, taking part in meetings, completing collateral drops and much more.
The transition from school life to working life was not an easy step however with the help of a fantastic team and great people at the clinic I have settled in well and have enjoyed every day. I enjoy meeting people and using my interpersonal skills in order to gain and research information. I have also enjoyed the variety of tasks that I have been set here at The Edinburgh Clinic.
I have enjoyed the challenge of learning about the private healthcare sector as before I joined I knew very little about it. I am looking forward to the last few months of my apprenticeship where I hope to continue working hard and contributing to The Edinburgh Clinic.
