At Aspen Healthcare, we recognise and appreciate our employees’ hard work. Each member of staff helps our eight hospitals and clinics to run effectively. Everyone contributes in some way to our high standards of patient care and safety.

Celebrating individual and team success is an important way to boost morale and keep everyone motivated.

Aspen Healthcare Staff Recognition Awards

We have introduced the annual Aspen Healthcare Staff Recognition Awards. These awards recognise individuals and teams across the company for outstanding service and achievements.

There are ten awards in five main categories, which are based on Aspen Healthcare’s company values. Anyone can nominate clinical or non-clinical individuals and teams for an award. We then hold a winners’ ceremony with some fantastic prizes available.

Recognising great care

We have a scheme called ‘Greatix’, which celebrates examples of great care across Aspen Healthcare. Employees can nominate colleagues if they see them ‘going the extra mile’, ‘giving great care’, protecting patient safety or demonstrating ‘great team work’.

Staff recognition at individual sites

All Aspen Healthcare sites have their own staff recognition and appreciation schemes. For example, Parkside Private Hospital gives a ‘Star of the Month’ award and organises special lunches to reward employees with long service. The Holly Private Hospital holds a popular Staff Oscars Awards Ceremony every year. They also have an award-winning employee recognition programme called ‘Project FIRST’.

In addition to formal recognition schemes, simple gestures to show our appreciation for employees often have a big impact. For example, we give all members of staff a gift to mark International Nurses Day on 12th May every year. Individual hospitals often arrange lunches, quizzes or other celebrations in honour of this occasion.
